Dear My Sister,
A big part of my life.
We lived together for 18 years, from Arizona to Texas, Sweden, and Germany. We haven’t always gotten along, nor have we always seen eye to eye. But we got to see and help each other grow throughout it all.
You’ve been a huge motivation to me being where I am today. If it weren’t for you, I might not
have picked up a camera in the first place. Seeing you in high school doing random photo shoots with your friends and hearing about film class gauged my interest and I started taking pictures on my phone at the time. Then I found that little Nikon D90 at the tram station and patiently waited 6 months to claim it from lost and found. If it weren’t for you, I might not have started taking pictures with it in the first place or started making videos in Italy with my little android. Your photography has never ceased to amaze me. Nowadays I remember getting pissed off that you and dad kept stopping everywhere we went in Portugal to take pictures, I'm sorry. I understand now. You’re one of the most talented photographers I know.
To be completely honest, I was disappointed when you took a “hiatus” from it. When you picked your camera up again, I was so excited and happy to see you back doing what you love again. I always knew how talented you were and was afraid you weren’t going to step back into it, but holy shit when you did it was like you hadn’t even stopped and now you’re absolutely killing it!
I know we don’t talk everyday and sometimes longer than that because I am god awful at reaching out and communicating. It’s the introvert in me. I wish I knew how to change it because you truly do mean a lot to me. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about you. Whether it’s about the last time I saw you, the next time I’ll see you, just a general question or wondering how you’re doing in this crazy year we’re in.
You’re my sister, nothing will ever change that. You mean the world to me I hope you know that and I can't wait for the next time we get to see each other.
I love you,
I miss you,
Sincerely,
Your Brother,
An Introvert.
